About Priory Lodge 5152

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

At Priory Lodge No. 5152, our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where like-minded men can build character, forge lifelong friendships, and make a positive impact on the community.

Our mission is underpinned by the four guiding principles of Freemasonry:

  • Integrity: Building ourselves into people of high moral character.
  • Friendship: Providing a common foundation for bonds that last a lifetime.
  • Respect: Bringing people together regardless of race, religion, or background.
  • Service: Acting as a force for good through fundraising and volunteer work.

Our History

Our Mission

Our Mission

The Priory Lodge No. 5152. was sponsored by Abbey Lodge No 3341 which was founded in 1909 (which is recorded as being named after St Albans Abbey). In July 1929 it was nearing its coming of age and to commemorate its 21st year it was decided to support the petition for a new Lodge, as it had grown so large, it now numbered more than 100 members. It was felt therefore, by some of the very keen members of the Abbey Lodge of Instruction, that, to enable some of the younger brethren to attain the Master’s Chair, a petition should be presented to found a daughter Lodge — thus was the start of

“The Priory Lodge No 5152”.

Our Vision

When We Meet

When We Meet

We are a body of men who enjoy delivering excellent ritual, building lasting friendships, and actively supporting the wider community.

  • Empower Individuals: We encourage every member to "be the best they can be" by providing a structure for personal development and growth.
  • Maintain Tradition: We interpret original Masonic customs in a modern context, ensuring our traditions remain relevant for today’s members.
  • Foster Camaraderie: We pride ourselves on a "smile-inducing" environment where diverse members—from IT consultants to postmen—feel a true sense of belonging
